EL PROYECTO IDEATEL
BASIC INFORMATION
El proyecto IDEATel traerá Atención
Médica a los hogares de residentes diabéticos
de zonas rurales y urbanas. Es el esfuerzo civil más
grande en telemedicina que haya patrocinado el gobierno
federal. El proyecto IDEATel establecerá una
red de telecomunicaciones y de informática basada
en la Internet en áreas económicamente
en desventaja tanto rural como urbanas del Estado de
New York. Columbia University College of Physician &
Surgeons (P&S) en el Columbia Presbyterian Medical
Center (CPMC), SUNY Upstate Medical University, y cinco
otras localidades servirán como centros de prueba
para el uso nacional de la tecnología de Internet
como medio para aumentar el acceso al cuidado de salud
para todos los americanos.
IDEATEL NEWS
Over 600 Home Telemedicine Units in the Field. As
of Feb 5, over 1400 patients have been enrolled in the
IDEATel study and over 600 HTUs have been installed
in patients' homes.
AVIVA STATIONS

The IDEATel project has established Home
Telemedicine Units (HTU) in economically disadvantaged
areas throughout New York State. The yellow dots represent
the approximate location of the HTUs in rural New York.
